Challenge #15 Something Old and Something New

Welcome Ladies to our new challenge from Paper Creations Ink!!! This next challenge is so much fun and I know you are going to LOVE it. We are sponsored by Floppy Latte Designs and the Prize is a $10.00 Gift Certificate from them.

So get your Floppy Latte on and get busy designing Something Old & Something New for everyone to look at. Go to Paper Creations Ink website here and check out the rules and join in the fun.

Here is my design for you to take a peek at.  The Image is "SnowGlobe" and I had so much fun with this design. There is so much more I would like to try with this image, like...somehow putting it inside an ornament, or somehow make a snowglobe from it, or a Christmas Tree ornament, or, or, or the possibilities are many!!!

After dusting the trees with Extra fine snow glitter, I covered the whole globe with Glossy Accents. Used the snow Cuttlebug embossing folder and also Nestabilities. The DP Paper in the very back is from Floppy Latte Designs and called "Winter". I colored the image in copics using the following recipe:

Snowglobe Base & Doors: R39, 37, 35, 32, 30
Snow: B41, B000, C3
Sky: B24
House: E35, 34, 33, 31
Roof: E31, 30
Chimney & Pathway: W3, 1
Trees: G28, 24, 21
Snowman's Nose: YR04

As always Ladies I look forward to seeing what you can do with these great designs, and maybe I will see some of what I envisioned in our challenge.

Christmas Cards 2011

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE, AGAIN

This is the card that was sent to all my family and friend this year. I was inspired by a card that Suzanne Dean had made and I worked my own magic on it.  I used MS Tinsel Glitter in Crystal, the Blooming Rosette Die, Punch from SU, and my wonderful Digi Papers from Crafty Chaos. In case you are wondering about the white punch off to the side its where I put the name of the person I am giving it to. At church we use hanging files so we can save on postage and so after several years of putting cards in envelopes I realized what a waste this was and now I try to think of new ways to address without using envelopes. The Snowman is from Mo's Digital Pencil and can be found here.

Copics used in this card are:
Scarf, Mittens & Hat:  R83, 85, 89, G12,20, 24
Snowman:  B0000
Buttons:  C5
Arms: E35
Nose: YR04, 09
Cardinal:  R27

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace,
good will toward men - Luke 2:14

Christmas 2011

Merry Christmas Everyone.
I had a wonderful opportunity to make this card for a dear friend of mine and not only was it fun and easy but I  think it turned out beautiful. The image from Mo's Digital Pencil and is called "In a Manger" and is available in two different formats.

I found the papers at Michaels and have no idea what company they are from as they were loose. I colored with copics (of course) and used a MS corner punch for the finishing touches.

Hay:  E50,51,53,55
Manager:  E11,13,15,17
Skin:  E000,00,94
Wings:  B0000
Blanket:  B41, C00, 02

Take time out this Season to enjoy the real reason for celebration...the birth of our Lord Jesus who came to this earth to give us all eternal life.

It's Snowing :0)

I know for all you Easterners this isn't much, but for Albuquerque, this is a pretty big snow amount. Schools are all closed so the kids are happy!!! The temp is staying in the teens so it is pretty darn cold right now. We are supposed to continue with the snow thru today and it will taper off tomorrow. Across town they are getting really bad winds so the chill factor is horrible. It would have been nice to have this hit us in a few more weeks for Christmas, but will take it :0)

This is looking west from the front of our home

Our front yard

Our beautiful home that God gave to us and it's first winter with us being there

Everyone have a great day and enjoy the life that God gave to you
