Back from Ladies Retreat

Wow how much fun can 15 ladies have????  LOTS. We had a blast in Clovis, NM!!! First we went to the Taste of Home Cooking School where 3 of our ladies won great prizes, then the next day we went shopping!!!! Found a couple of real great deals, like a leather purse that was regualarly $75 but with discounts and a gift card cost me $12, can you say Wowser?!? Then in the tool department at Sears I found the neates little tote that is supposed to be for tools, but all I could see was craft things in it.  That was only $10 and if you can check it out at your local Sears do so as it is very cool. Then we had our craft show, then we heard from a fantastic speaker by the name of Pam Copes. She talked about lonliness and how we are all affected by it. We ate at the Rib Crib, yummmmmyyy. At the retreat another three of our ladies won beautiful baskets. It was so much fun and very relaxing.  I didn't sell many cards, but thank you to all my friends here at the church who purchased one.  My goal was to sell to at least 1 person I didn't know and I made my goal.  I was told they look to professional (snark, giggle) But the ladies were looking for gifts, not cards.. Oh well, what a great learning experience.  Well have a great day everyone and talk with you later.

Craft Show Time

Well I have been stamping, and coloring, and putting together for the first time some cards to sell this weekend at a Ladies Retreat in Clovis, New Mexico.  As promised here are a few pictures of some of the cards that I created.  The photo's are definately not what I wanted, but my camera went on the blink again and so not to lose anything I used my phone. I will be away from my computer until Sunday so until then, God bless all of you.

Happy Birthday To ME!!!

Well after another 50+....years it's that time again to celebrate ME! As I look back over the past year I can say I have been truly blessed beyond anything that I can think of. God is so good to me and my family and I look forward to another wonderful blessed year, complete with I am sure will be full of challenges, Blessings beyond measure, heartache, joy unspeakable and lots of new friends. So take a minute with me and light a birthday candle, make a wish, and blow it out! My birthday wish for all of you is to have a year filled with love, laughter, and the light and joy of knowing Jesus Christ as your personal saviour.

I am finishing up with coloring the last of my craft cards and I better get busy putting them all together by Thursday or it will be very interesting. Does anyone else out there struggles with backgrounds and how to pull a card together?  I would love to hear what all of you do to make that card extra special. I still have so much to learn!!!

Blog Challenges

Happy Saturday Everbody! The struggles still go on for this techno challeged woman :0) All I want is a blinkie to the right of this post and what did I get....a title....aaarrrggg! If I can master raising three children, handle a retired husband, 4 dogs, work part time and keep the house somewhat clean and have time to craft I should be able to figure this out. Well shouldn't I?

Well for the crafty part, I am currently working on finishing  some cards to sell at a craft show coming up this next week and I will post them as I finish.

I want to thank all of you bloggers out there who have gone before me to show me what I would like to see here on this blog.  Now to live up to the challenge.

Have a fantastic weekend everyone and will blog again soon.

Fall's In The Air

Well everyone I have taken the plunge and am starting my own blog.  This image is from Mo's Digital Pencil, colored with copics. Be patient with me as this site will be under construction and will be a growing journal of thoughts, pictures, ideas, techniques, family or whatever is happening here at PJ's Place. I look forward to learning, living and sharing with all who come to visit.
